If the Chiefs Win Super Bowl 58, Patrick Mahomes Promises a Vegas Trip

Forget Disney World, there’s a new party spot for this year’s Super Bowl contenders.

Even though the big match is in Las Vegas — a city known for its clubs, eateries, and performances — the players won’t join in the fun before the Sunday night game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

In fact, Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ quarterback and the previous Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player, insists his team will concentrate on the game, not the allure of Las Vegas.

“We’re here for work,” he told James Palmer from the NFL Network.

If the Chiefs win and Mahomes gets his third championship ring, the 28-year-old promises to give the team a proper Vegas experience.

“I’ve told the guys that if we win, I’ll take everyone back to Vegas to party,” he said.

It’s a costly promise—the Chiefs’ full Super Bowl team is 53 players—but Mahomes can handle it. He’s already made over $120 million in his career, and with the 10-year, $450 million contract he signed in 2020, he’s set to earn over $300 million more.

This isn’t the first time Mahomes has shown kindness to his teammates. Last Christmas, he gave each member of the Chiefs’ offensive line personalized electric golf carts, each one marked with their name and number.

“They do a lot for me,” he said then. “So I’m going to look after them too.”
