US Galaxy S21 Series Receives February 2024 Security Update The latest software update, which carries the firmware version G99xU1UESAFXAB, is now available for the unlocked Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in the US across most carrier networks. This update only includes the February 2024 security patch, making it a relatively small download. The new patch addresses 72 security issues found in the previous software version.
If you own a factory-unlocked Galaxy S21 series phone in the US, you can check for the new update. To do this, open the Settings app on your device, go to Software Update, and select Download and Install. Alternatively, you can manually download the correct firmware file from our database and flash it. For this, you’ll need a Windows OS computer with the Odin tool installed. Also, you should be familiar with the manual firmware flashing process.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy S21 series with Android 11 in early 2021. The phones received the Android 12 update in late 2021. The Android 13 update was released for these phones in late 2022.
